Disclaimer & Important Notices

The New Mysteries Last updated: June 2026

Please read the following carefully before participating in any program, event, or offering of The New Mysteries (the "Church"). By registering or participating, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the notices below.

1. Spiritual & Ministerial Context

The New Mysteries is a registered church whose mission is to support every individual's right to develop a personal, unhindered relationship with the Divine. All programs, gatherings, and sacramental practices offered by the Church are conducted in a spiritual, ministerial, and pastoral capacity.

Participation in any Church program — including The Anabasis — is an act of voluntary religious engagement, not an enrollment in a clinical, therapeutic, or medical service.

2. Non-Medical & Somatic Disclaimer

The coaching, breathwork modalities, and somatic integration practices offered by the Church are intended solely for spiritual development, inner transformation, and pastoral care.

Not Medical or Psychological Treatment: The Church, its ministers, facilitators, and coaches are not operating as licensed medical doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, or clinical mental health counselors within these programs. Nothing communicated — in writing, verbally, or through any program material — constitutes medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice, diagnosis, or treatment. No Professional Advice: Participation in these programs does not create a physician-patient, therapist-client, or counselor-client relationship of any kind.

Participant Responsibility: Certain breathwork techniques involve deep, rhythmic breathing that can trigger intense physical or emotional releases. If you are pregnant, have a history of cardiovascular disease, severe asthma, epilepsy, or severe psychiatric conditions, you are advised to consult with a licensed healthcare professional before participating. By registering, you assume full responsibility for your physical, emotional, and mental well-being during and following any Church program.

3. The Sacrament

The Church provides a sacrament to enrolled members of certain programs, including The Anabasis, as an act of religious practice within our ministerial context.

Religious Use Only: The sacrament is provided exclusively within the sacred container of the Church's ministerial offerings and is not intended for any recreational, non-religious, or non-ceremonial use.

Participant Responsibility: Prior to receiving the sacrament, participants are required to confirm that they have no known contraindications and have consulted with a qualified healthcare provider as needed. The Church makes no medical claims regarding the sacrament. Full contraindication guidance is provided to accepted participants before the program container begins.

Informed Consent: By accepting enrollment in any program that includes the sacrament, participants affirm that they are voluntarily and knowingly participating in a religious sacramental practice, and that they take full personal responsibility for their participation.

4. Results Not Guaranteed

Personal transformation, spiritual growth, and any other outcomes described on this website or in program materials represent the sincere intention of the Church's offerings and the experiences of prior participants. They are not guarantees. Individual results vary based on a wide range of personal, spiritual, and circumstantial factors. The New Mysteries makes no warranty, express or implied, that participation in any program will produce specific outcomes.

5. Emergency Situations

The New Mysteries programs are not equipped to handle medical or psychiatric emergencies. If you or someone you know is experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately. If you are in emotional distress, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

6. Third-Party Content

This website may contain links to third-party websites, resources, or content for informational purposes. The New Mysteries does not endorse and is not responsible for the accuracy, content, or practices of any third-party site.
